Built by the Hanlons
The Hanlon family has been performing, recording and teaching on the Gold Coast since the early 1970s. Two generations, four working musicians.
That's how we know which stages are worth playing and it's why our students get on them.
We're also proud to be a major sponsor of the Gold Coast Music Awards.
"I built HSM to be the place I wish I'd had growing up."
Saia Hanlon, Founder

A message from the owner.
"I created Hanlon School of Music to build the kind of place I wish existed when I was growing up. A space where kids, teens and adults could learn music in an environment that feels creative, welcoming and inspiring.
Music has always been more than just notes and songs to me. It builds confidence, focus, resilience and connection. I’ve seen firsthand how learning an instrument helps people express themselves, grow as individuals and feel part of something bigger than themselves.
Today, my biggest motivation comes from my family and from seeing the next generation walk through our doors. Every student deserves a place where they feel supported, encouraged and excited to grow through music.
Hanlon School of Music is built on community, positivity and the belief that music should be fun, empowering and accessible to everyone. We’re proud to be a local family business and grateful to every parent and student who trusts us to be part of their journey."
