"Do we have to buy a drum kit?"

No.

We have full kits here and most students practise at home on a rubber practice pad for the first 3 to 6 months. It costs about the price of two lessons and it's quiet enough for a unit.

By the time a kit makes sense, you'll know they're sticking with it.

We suggest an acoustic kit, but we understand an electric one is often more suitable for the family and the neighbours. When the time comes, your teacher will help you find the right one.

Nobody needs to read music or own anything before the first lesson.

Turn up empty-handed and we take it from there.

Thirty or sixty minutes, one on one, on a full kit in a proper room.

We start with the fundamentals - grip, timing, independence, reading rhythm. Then we build them into songs they actually want to play.

Every student follows the same path: Habits, Study, Music. It's the way we learned it ourselves and it's the reason our students end up playing in front of real crowds instead of just in a lesson room.
