Hanlon School of Music is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with The Sound Check Room to launch our brand-new Band Program!

We know that while individual lessons build your foundation, nothing compares to the energy and growth that comes from playing in a real band. By teaming up with The Sound Check Room, we are bringing their proven "Sound Check Method" directly to our students.

What is the Band Program?

This isn't just a jam session. Our program is a structured, immersive experience designed to turn musicians into performers. Whether you are a drummer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, or vocalist, we’ll pair you with other musicians of a similar age and skill level to form a complete unit.

How it Works:

• Professional Mentorship: Each band is guided by expert coaches who specialize in ensemble playing.

• The Sound Check Method: You’ll learn the essential skills of "stagecraft"—from mastering your gear and understanding signal flow to communicating on stage and locking in as a rhythm section.

• Weekly Rehearsals: Scheduled sessions in a professional environment equipped with high-quality gear.

• Real Gigs: The program culminates in live performances, giving you the chance to showcase your hard work in front of a real audience.

Who is it for?

We are looking for dedicated HSM students who are ready to level up. If you have a basic grasp of your instrument and a passion for music, there is a spot for you. We have groups forming for various age brackets and genres.
