MEET YOUR SINGING TEACHER

JENNY WILLETT

Jenny is a singer, guitarist and pianist from the UK with a lifelong passion for music. She has been playing piano and guitar since the age of eight, studying singing for many years, and performing for over a decade. Jenny loves sharing her passion with younger generations and keeping the joy of music alive. Jenny believes performing builds confidence that carries into everyday life, from speaking in front of others to trying new challenges. She encourages students to embrace mistakes as part of learning and growth. When students feel shy, Jenny meets them at their level using humour, silliness and fun exercises to create a safe, relaxed space. She’s deeply passionate about vocal technique and loves sharing the right knowledge, while keeping lessons high-energy and engaging. Jenny refuses to teach a boring lesson and is dedicated to helping students love music as much as she does.

JACK WATSON

Jack has been teaching at Hanlon School of Music for two years and brings over 12 years of vocal experience into every lesson. As an active professional performer, he combines real-world stage knowledge with practical technique and performance training. Jack is passionate about helping students build confidence through singing. He loves seeing the transformation in his students, standing taller, speaking louder, and singing with strength after just a few months. Having once been the shy kid himself, he understands how powerful finding your voice can be. He focuses on encouragement rather than simple praise, helping students push beyond limits and continue improving. Jack creates a supportive environment where singers develop strong technique, authentic performance skills, and the confidence to step outside their comfort zone.

ALANAH STONE

Alana Stone is a vocal teacher at Hanlon School of Music who has been singing for as long as she can remember. From childhood “lounge room concerts” to writing and releasing her own music, performing cover gigs and original shows, music has always been a central part of her life. As a teacher, Alana is deeply passionate about building confidence through singing. She notices a powerful shift when students find their voice, a sense of certainty and self-belief that comes through in their sound. She believes encouragement is more powerful than praise, helping students push forward and continue growing rather than stopping at the surface level. Alana loves supporting students through challenges, offering small moments of encouragement that give them hope and momentum. She finds it incredibly rewarding when students complete a song they’ve worked hard on and light up with pride. Performing is another key moment where she sees students truly come alive and return to lessons motivated.
